You will need to know what your customer’s priorities are e.g. quality of work performed verses the inconvenience of you being there; if their priority is inconvenience, then you know your competitor having several employees will likely get the bid (this is why getting to the nitty gritty details is so important).

These are examples; you probably can come up with others.

Now that you have captured the details, how can you put them together so that they work to your advantage? In many instances, compiling the list of details creates the complete picture of accomplishing a task, allowing you to see the outcome and gain that competitive edge.

So let’s say your customer wants a great paint job but does not like the inconvenience of your work going on in their house. (Offer incentive…Free Value)

For instance, you could tell them your job will be done in two days and you can purchase a weekend spa package during that time. You can use your AAA membership to get that discount and put on a credit card so that the immediate cost is not incurred until you have had time to earn extra monies through other jobs. (Make Sure to incorp. the extra cost into your bid); then, OFFSET THE COST.

Instead of driving back and forth – take a sleeping bag and stay over at the work site. Also you can offer a customer referrals to your paint seller for a discount, you can enlist family members to assist you with completing the job faster.

Now you have gathered you information and included your incentive options,as well as cost cutting options, you have researched your competitor’s abilities and pricing; at this point you should have all the information you need to accomplish the completion of a successful bid.

You see, most people are not THINKING, they are simply functioning through a routine without expecting any difference. When you come through with your Neothink Plan of Completion and see it to fruition, you have created your success puzzle. That is an example of Neothink.
